Doctors sitting MRCP(UK) Part 1 — most commonly NHS IMT 1, 2 and 3 trainees, trust grade SHOs and registrars, and international medical graduates. You do not need to be an Intellect Medicos course student to attend. The teaching assumes you have started revision, so the weekend works best if you are somewhere between mid-preparation and final revision.
No. The in-person workshops are booked separately and are open to any doctor sitting MRCP Part 1. Existing Intellect Medicos students are told about each workshop first and are usually offered a discount code.
They do different jobs. The 90-day online course builds knowledge from the ground up across a full exam cycle — recorded theory, weekly classes, marked mocks and a written study plan. A workshop is a compression session: it assumes the knowledge is there and works on retrieval, pattern recognition and exam technique. Most delegates attend in the final six to eight weeks before the paper. They complement each other; neither replaces the other.
The two-day Fast-Track course covers high-yield revision of the major and minor systems, statistics and basic sciences, recent recall MCQs with full reasoning for why each wrong answer is wrong, interactive cases, live Q&A and exam technique — pattern recognition for single-best-answer questions, not new content. The four-hour Dubai workshop is a strategy session: how to prepare around a full-time rota, the reasons doctors commonly fail Part 1, and how to build a plan that survives clinical work.
No. They are not recorded and are not made available online afterwards. The value of the room is the live interaction — asking your own question, working a case out loud, being corrected in real time. That does not survive a recording.
Deliberately few. Kolkata was capped at the first 50 registrations, because the format depends on every delegate being able to ask a question and get a full answer. Workshops have filled ahead of the date.
Yes. We run a range of workshops and events across different cities and countries. Since 2024 we have taught in person in Hyderabad, Dubai, London, Manchester and Kolkata — five cities across three countries — and we return to Dubai in September 2026. Formats vary from half-day strategy sessions to full two-day revision courses. The two-day Fast-Track Revision Course is our UK course with PasTest; events in India and the Gulf are run independently or with local partners, and are announced to the mailing list first.
Get through as much of your question bank as you reasonably can, and note the topics you keep getting wrong. Bring that list. The weekend is far more valuable when you arrive with specific weaknesses rather than a general sense of being behind.
